A collection of Biblical etchings on paper, each trimmed from the original volume, including five trimmed to a single image and three with two images on a page, each plate size varying from approx. 6-1/2" x 7-3/4", with text, and each paper trimmed to various sizes. The double image sheets measure approx. 15" x 9-1/4".
Romayn de Hooghe was the most significant Netherlandish engraver in the second half of the seventeenth Century. These are very crisp and strong impressions.
