An enameled platter with a figurative scene on the inside depicting peasant musicians, signed at the lower left "P. Soyer", in black background, with the verso also in plain black enamel. The image, after a painting by Franz Hals, is executed in a faint gold wash with some white accenting, and the platter measures approx. 16" in diameter.
