A bureau plat fitted with classical Palladian and Rococo design ormolu and fine marquetry in checkerboard panels with red leather top with gilt tooled edge. Cabriole legs with ormolu adornments on the knees, terminating in ormolu mounts. There are three short drawers with the original locks, decorated with figural brass and moving bail pulls. The wood has a mellow, warm tone with a satin finish. It measures approx. 31"T x 53-1/2"L x 31"W.
