Sheep and a ram with two chickens. Oil on chamford wood panel, signed in the lower margin and dated 1876, also inscribed on verso in wet pigment with pencil, as well as a second signature. The image size is approx. 6-1/4" x 9-1/2", and overall in the burnished gilt wood liner approx. 11-1/4" x 14-1/4".
