The punch bowl is elaborately decorated with wheel-cut stars and wheat patterns, with a serrated undulating upper rim, and with a matching pedestal base. The bowl itself measures 10" in diameter x 5-1/2"H, and with the base overall measures 9-1/2"H. The unusual shape of the tapering body is ovoid on a circular pedestal base with a lobbed edge and a star pattern underneath. The silver collar is hallmarked on the side and there are also hallmarks under the lid. The base is 4-5/8" in diameter and the widest point of the body measures 5"W x 3"D. The flat circular form sitting on a small foot measures 4-1/2" in diameter, above which is a 1/2"H neck and rim, and with as pretty cast glass stopper at the top with stars in relief on either side.
