27. After Philipp Peter Roos (German, 1657-1706) A Barnyard. Oil on a wooden panel, unsigned, 12-1/4" x 16-3/8" panel size, framed in a 1-1/2" wide textured bronze finished frame. There are numbers "423" on an old label on the verso, remnants of other labels, and a large horizontal wood brace through the center which corresponds to an inpainted crack faintly seen from the front. Regardless of the condition issues, which are stabilized, the painting is nicely done, and a charming subject. 500/800 Sold: $402.50 |
