766. A Doulton Burslem Lidded Chamber Pot
A pretty glazed ceramic chamber pot marked on the underside by Doulton Burslem in the underglaze, with the lid, and with a metal and wooden handle attached to brackets on the sides. The exterior is decorated with cobalt blue transfer designs under the glaze, of flowers and scrolling foliate designs. Overall it measures approx. 10-7/8" in diameter x 10-1/8" H without the handle.

The outer surface is embellished with hand painted glazes in yellow, gold, rose, blue and teal, with repeating geometric patterns at the base and top and whimsical scenes of hunters and game surrounding the wide portion of the body.

A lot of two Italian style Majolica vessels, the first a pyramid shaped bottle with a cork stopper, approx. 8"H, with the base 5-1/2" x 5-1/2", with the sides decorated in glossy polychrome glazes with the image of a bird and meandering vines; the second a large baluster-shaped vase with a lid, approx. 18"H x 6" in diameter at the widest point, the sides decorated in a gold and teal floral pattern with a heavy mottled honey-color overglaze. This vase comes with a glossy-finished carved wood base.

The back is signed, possibly by the decorator, Alice Garland, and stamped in green "J. P. France/ Limoges." The plaque measures approx. 18" in diameter, framed approx. 27" in diameter.

774. An Art Nouveau Pate Sur Pate Table Lamp
An Art Nouveau Pate sur Pate table lamp, with a brass base, cap and stem and two light sockets, and with an oval box pleated ivory silk shade, measuring overall approx. 21-1/2"H and 5" in diameter at the base. The body of the lamp is a fresh green with a lighter green in two opposing panels, surrounded by gilt detailing. Inside the panels are white images of day and night personified as beautiful winged nymphs, each with an accompanying cherub flying below. The sun above day is lavender. Note that the surrounding gilt decorations are different on each side, including a bird and a butterfly above and below day and a bat and an owl above and below night. No maker's marks were found, though the lamp was not disassembled.

A 19th Century Ironstone centerpiece on a pedestal base, with the flaring slotted bowl with two handles decorated in the Oriental manner in cobalt blue, iron red and gilt designs. The centerpiece is marked on the underside with an impressed mark and with a crown over "Real Iron-Stone-China." Overall the centerpiece measures approx. 6"H to the lip, 7-5/8"H to the top of the handles, 11-3/4" in diameter at the widest point of the flaring bowl and 5-1/4" in diameter at the foot.

The first is a center-bowl on a low pedestal with two pierced handles, 10-1/8" in diameter x 3"H, and the other a double sided oval serving bowl with lid, 9" x 12" x 5-3/4"H. Both are decorated alike with transfer and hand decoration in the Chinese style, and both marked on the undersisde.
