| 568. A Japanese Kutani Plate
A pretty 20th Century Japanese glazed porcelain plate in the Kutani manner, measuring approx. 12-1/2" in diameter x 2-1/4"H. The plate is fashioned in porcelain painted with overglaze enamels in yellow, blue, aqua, black and gilt with some white clouds at the top of the composition. The center of the bowl is sectioned into geometric shapes with a large white square in the center decorated with the image of an Iris. The outside back is decorated with the stylized images of three birds, and the center of the underside has an underglaze mark in aqua and black. 100/200 Sold $63.25 back to catalog |
