A Sarzavar rug, measuring approx. 9'-4" x 13'-2". Vivid blue centerfield woven with an elaborate red/blue/ivory medallion flanked with cartouche shapes and palmettos. Rest of the ground filled with meandering palmette pattern. Ivory and red corner guards. A rather unusual design on the primary red border features a meandering rosette clusters. Secondary borders with a similar design. All separated with ribbon clusters.
