A Persian Tabriz rug, ca. 1940's, measuring approx. 6'-5" x 9'-3". This striking Tabriz design carpet features a purple/ivory/blue centerfield medallion flanked with two purple vase shapes, woven into vermillion ground filled with floral sprays. Ivory/green/red corner-guards are of similar design as the medallion. Primary border features a palmetto pattern over vright red ground and secondary borders are in a repeating rosette pattern over blue ground. Short fringe at each end. Please note the carpet was photographed outside and the upper border is partially in the shade.
