533. A Peachbloom Glazed Beehive Water Pot with Kang Xi Mark

A Chinese scholar's desk water pot of hemispherical domed form with a narrow flared mouth, on a wide flat base, incised with three medallions of scrolling archaistic dragons visible beneath the well-controlled glaze, ranging in color from blush-red to dusky pink to earthy green color. It bears a blue underglaze Kang Xi Mark in horizontal script. Overall the piece measures approx. 3-1/2"T x 5-1/4"D at the widest point.
