A lovely Chinese Guangxu Period, ca. 1875-1908, porcelain bowl, measuring approx. 5-5/8" in diameter at the lip x 2-5/8"H, on a small foot, with the calligraphic marking on the underside in rust-red. The interior is plain, the rim accented with gilt, and the sides decorated with the images of cranes standing in front of a spreading pine tree, with two bats in flight on the opposite side.
