A gorgeous silver compote, measuring overall 9-1/4"H, with the bowl approx. 6"W and the pedestal base 3-1/2"W. Hallmarked on the side of the base. The repouse design on the base is in the form of a dragon's body, with the head cast separately facing up, blowing a ribbed conical form upward supporting the bowl. The bowl is formed in the shape of a stylized lotus blossom with the sides decorated in relief in designs with birds and with flowers. It weighs approx. 16.035 troy oz. An exceptionally rare piece.
