"Desert Echo - Dawn." Mixed Media with pictorial enamel plaque, framed in a metal frame and measuring overall 21-1/4" x 17-1/4", signed and titled on the back of the wooden backing board, with a hand-written note by the artist about the piece taped to the back. The enamel painting measures 12-1/8" x 10-1/8" and is "floated" over a backing of pieced fabric and suede with ink designs and feathers applied to the surface.
The Ohio artist, Mary Ellen McDermott, is a painter, silversmith and enamelist who has created works for national and international collectors including the new Vatican Museum.
