A Vintage Lincoln Art Deco Chandelier

379. A Vintage Lincoln Art Deco Chandelier


A vintage Art Deco chandelier, made in cast metal with a dark silver gilt finish, and with a glass bowl below and with five cast glass sconce-shaped shades surrounding the metal armature. The thick cast glass parts are finished with matching amber painted surfaces on the outside grading from opaque to translucent. The fixture comes with one link of chain attaching it to the original matching cap. There is a dangling matching ornament suspended at the bottom of the bowl. Overall the fixture measures approx 19"W x 38-3/4" overall from the top of the cap to the bottom of the ornament. Wired for electricity with older wiring and sockets. It has the name "Lincoln" stamped into the metal. Made ca. 1930's.

380. A Vintage Louis Vuitton Wardrobe


A vintage Louis Vuitton wardrobe, approx. 43" x 22" x 21-1/2", with the trademark brown and gold logo canvas covering, wooden slats with the inscription "Louis Vuitton...Paris...London" impressed, with tooled leather binding on the edges with the repeating logo, with thick leather carrying handles on either side with "LV" impressed into the brasses and L. Vuitton impressed in the leather. Most of the nailheads also have the Vuitton name stamped. There are several travel stickers on the outside from various destinations and a former owner's name painted on one end. The inside is covered in a cream color textured Koroseal-type fabric, with six drawers on the right and a fold-out hanger apparatus to the left with a removable briefcase type container below. The drawers have stamped leather handles; three have strapping inside woven with the name of Louis Vuitton and the top and the bottom have removable partitions. The top drawer has a lock, but is lacking the key. The briefcase has a leather handle and snapping straps and its interior is covered in wool flannel. The hanging apparatus is in wood, silver metal and shirred with cream cotton sateen fabric; includes the original hangers. Many of the interior parts are also emblazoned with the Vuitton name. Under the hinged flip up top is the serial number 847977 and "Avenue Marceau 28 Paris".

An elegant walking stick with a light wood polished shaft, bone tip and a sterling silver collar holding a cherry amber curved handle. Overall the walking stick is approx. 36"L. Just below the silver collar is a relief insignia of the maker in gold metal, "Howell, London".

382. A French Majolica Vase Mounted as a Lamp


A monumental French Majolica vase fitted for electricity as a lamp, approx. 25"H to the top of the vase and 43"H to the top of the finial. The body of the lamp is decorated in relief with a large crocodile and scalloped shapes in polychrome glazes with the background in a deep cobalt blue. It has an older brass cap and harp which have oxidized and a maroon shade with ivory trim at the edges. Funky.

Classic Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Clock in a glass and brass case with visible mechanism. The clock is powered by changes in atmospheric pressure. Includes a paper instruction affixed to the top. It has a white face with Roman numerals at 12-3-6-9, and arrows at the other hours. The word "LeCoultre" (chipped)is in black on the front pane of glass, and "LeCoultre et Cie...Swiss" is stamped in the backplate. Overall it measures approx. 9" x 7" x 5-1/4". The serial number is 91612, stamped at the top.

A Chelsea Ship's Bell Clock and Barometer, mounted side by side on a bronze base with small ball feet, measuring approx. 14" x 3" x 1-5/8"H, and 9" to the top of the ship's wheel. The winding key accompanies the piece. Very handsome.

A Judith Leiber champagne silk satin evening bag, in an "A" frame envelope shape with the front flap held by magnet and decorated with a snakeskin and enamel blossom with yellow crystal accents. The bright gold finished frame is set on both edges with pave chocolate color crystals, as is the handle and the button closure. The top of the clasp is also set with a cabochon tiger eye stone. Inside is a zipper pocket with a small gilt purse fob and a slide in pocket on the opposite side with a stamped gilt metal nameplate above. The pocket contains the original Judith Leiber certificate of authenticity and product registry card. The evening bag is accompanied by a soft brown flannel storage pouch. Overall, the bag measures 6-3/4"W x 4-3/8"H x 3-1/2"D. The hinged handle extends 2-1/4" above the bag.

387. A French Mechanical Singing Bird in a Brass Cage


A French mechanical singing bird in a brass cage, approx. 11-1/4"H x 6" in diameter. the fancy cage sits atop a relief decorated base, on top of three button feet. Underneath, it is stamped "Made In France" and has an attached winding key and a screened opening for sound. There is a small lever that projects from under the edge of the base to turn it on and off, with the numerals "132" stamped on the side above. The sound works when wound and the bird chirps merrily.

A vintage Mola, pieced and stitched by hand, measuring approx. 47-1/4" x 23-1/2". A fabric sleeve has been sewn onto the back for hanging. The layers of cut cloth are stitched in a reverse applique with intricate patterns, originally created by the Cuna Indians of the San Blas Islands off Panama.

393. A Large Ivory Coast Tribal Type Wooden Mask


A painted wooden plank shield or mask in the manner of a design of the tribes of the Ivory Coast, approx. 44"H x 23"W x 1"thick. The shield is slightly convex, and has a flat ovoid opening at the top with three holes drilled in the front. It is painted with strong simple sections in rust, black and white with an antiqued surface dusting of soils that make it appear to have been used ceremonially.
