989. A Reed & Barton Tazza with Handle and Figural Decorations
An unusual silver plated tazza with tripod feet featuring paw finials and classical busts, as well as a bird on the ring swing. The interior of the tazza is decorated with an engraved stylized floral pattern, and the edges of the tazza are decorated with small bird shapes and knobs. The piece is fitted with a handle decorated with a stag's head shape. Overall a very interesting piece with lots of dainty details. The bottom of one foot is stamped "Plated Reed & Barton Design Pat Ap'l 26. 1870." The overall measurement is approx. 8"T (without the handle) and 14" with the handle, and the tazza is approx. 9-1/2" in diameter.

990. A Fancy Silver Plate Bun Warmer Made in England
A fancy silver plate bun warmer, marked on the underside "Made in England" and with a maker's mark "W A". The piece is composed of two shell-shaped containers with repousse decoration, hinged to close like a clam shell. This is supported by a fancy cast openwork stand on four feet with a ring at the top of the handle. When the shell is opened there are two pierced platforms that conform to the shape of the shell that are also hinged to allow for circulation. Overall the piece measures 10-1/2"H x 9-12/2"W x 4"D.

This graceful bride's basket features a tall open handle with applied scroll decorations, scalloped edges and lattice openwork on the basket. Base marked "Manufactured and Guaranteed by Standard Silver Co, Toronto, 956, EPBM." Overall measures approx. 17"T x 10-1/2"L x 8"W.

992. A Silver Plated Cast Bronze Clown Inkwell, Signed E. Urbain
A silver plated cast bronze inkwell in the shape of a clown, with the artist's name "E. Urbain" impressed into one side. The sad-faced clown's head and ruff are the hinged lid of the inkwell, with a removable metal reservoir inside. The clown spreads his arms above a flowing pen tray made of his costume. He rests on three turned button feet. Overall the inkwell measures 10"W x 6-1/2"D x 4"H.

A trophy in the form of a tankard with a hinged lid, measuring approx. 11-1/2"H, with a rococo cartouche in relief on each side and inscriptions for the 1st prize from an 1897 tennis tournament in each. The German inscription indicates that this was for a singles match in October.
