1180. A Handsome Georgian Style Writing Table A handsome vintage Georgian style writing table with a slightly curved front, approx. 48"W x 30-3/4"D x 30-1/2"H. The table has three drawers with older hinged brass hardware, though not probably the original, and slender tapering legs with brass tips and casters. The drawers each have a lock and the original escutcheon, but lack the key. It has an inset green tooled leather top, also probably not the original but vintage. 1181. An Antique French Armoire An antique armoire, in the Louis XV provincial manner, approx. 90"H x 60"W x 23"D, in mixed woods, with a curving bonnet, two doors with mitred planks inset into provincial scrolling openings, and with a curvilinear carved valance and ogee legs. There are two doors on long metal hinges, openwork hardware on the front and a large key for the locking door. There is also a pretty inlay pattern on the top frieze and a different inlay at the lower center of the valance base. There are three shelves in the interior, and there is a modern magnetic catch installed at the top center to secure the doors and compensate for a slight warp. The finish of the exterior is in a rich warm brown and the interior is dark. Joints appear to be pegged and the interior woods and the back show rustic hand planing. The top is removable for moving the piece, but the bulk of the cabinet does not disassemble. Truck delivery only. 2,000/3,000 |

1182. A Vintage French Wash Stand A vintage French Victorian style wash stand, measuring approx. 47"W x 41-1/2"H x 23-1/2"D. The cabinet has two doors below and two drawers above with inset quarter-matched veneers, and with similar veneers on the sides. It has a curvilinear valanced base and small bun feet. It has a rouge mutton fat marble top and splash back with an upper shelf at the back and shaped side brackets. The doors have a lock with an escutcheon and the key is present. A Delicately Proportioned Hepplewhite-Style Secretary A delicately proportioned Hepplewhite style secretary, measuring approx. 36"W x 19"D x 43-7/8"H, in a dark brown glossy wood finish with tapering legs, a hinged writing surface supported by two pull-out lopers, and a top cabinet with compartments, drawers and tambour doors. The center compartment on the top has a shell motif inlaid in lighter finish wood. The base has two drawers, each with two loop handles with stamped backplates. 1185. A Lovely Pair of Inlaid Corner Cabinets A lovely pair of inlaid wood corner cabinets, of delicate proportions, approx. 17"W x 35"H x 10"D, made in the 20th century. Each is triangular in shape with a concave front and door, with slightly curved cabriole legs. The top and fronts are inlaid in a pretty marquetry pattern with a bouquet of flowers in the top and in the center of the door. Each has one shelf on the interior. The exterior is decorated with inlaid wood patterns and meandering flower sprigs, and ornate brasses at the knees, feet, and escutcheon. The interior appears to be made of a heavily grained wood similar to the grain of ash, and has some faux worming. The finish on the exterior is a rich brown color and a matte gloss.
