365. A French Embroidered Silk Painting
A French embroidered silk painting of the young St. John the Baptist with a sheep, measuring approx. 16-3/8" x 13-5/8" sight size, surrounded by a reverse lacquered black glass mat with gilded inner line and gilded title below. Overall with the frame it measures 28-1/4" x 25-1/4". The hand painted sections are particularly well done and the embroidery executed in a variety of threads and stitches.

366. A Dimentional Antique Silk Embroidery, Continental, 19th Century
An antique textile painting and embroidery with stuffwork, measuring approx. 34" x 22", framed in a wide antiqued gilt frame measuring approx. 44" x 30-1/2" overall. The background is painted on a canvas, depicting a hillside covered with fir trees. In the foreground, the embroidered dimensional image of a hunting dog with a duck in its mouth is surrounded by branches of oak with leaves and acorns and a pine branch with two acorns. The dog's eye is glass that appears to follow a viewer around the room. No artist's signature was found.

A vintage mixed metals weathervane approx. 63"H x 35"D x 10-3/4" at the widest. The weathervane sits atop a cast iron pole, with the other parts in thick wire, and formed hollow shapes. The image of the figural part is a jockey riding in a sulky in hammered copper, with his horse at full run.
