A cast bronze with copper and silver inlays standing Krishna figural. A delightful sculpture, depicting Krishna playing a flute, on a raised round plinth. Approx. 8"T.

"Siberian Grizzly". A modern cast bronze after the original with toned variations in the brown patinated finish, on a 1-1/2" thick green marble base, approx. 22"H overall. "This bear was killed by the Russian Emperor (Alexander III) at the place named Apsetsa, March 9, 1865" in cyrillic in the bronze base. Liberich studied at the Academy of St. Petersburg. He specialized exclusively in animal sculpture and was very prolific in his production. Several museums in Russia maintain works in their permanent collection, and was known to have done other commissions for Alexander III.

A pair of cast copper commemorative medallions mounted on oak plaques, each measuring approx. 7-1/2" in diameter and with the wood plaque 9-1/2" in diameter. One is a relief plaque of a portrait of Dame Ellen Terry (1847-1928) and the other is of Sir Henry Irving (1838-1905), each is marked with the name "Horace Morehen" at the lower right and one is dated 1883. Morehen was a popular designer and illustrator; his works can be found in everything from periodicals to dime novels. He also designed other things including a portrait of Queen Victoria for minting on coinage.

Wildcats Fighting. A spelter cast of original bronze on a green marble base. The fierce depiction shows a pair of large cats fighting on a rocky base designed by the famous animalier sculptor. It is signed on the metal base, and rests on a green marble oval base. It measures approx. 22"H x 22"W x 10"D.
