994. A Fabulous KPM Porcelain Plaque
A KPM porcelain plaque, hand painted with a night-time market scene in the Dutch manner, marked on verso, approx. 15" x 19", framed in a gilt frame with a brown velvety liner and an inner gilt fillet, overall approx. 20-1/8" x 23-1/8". There is an inscription on the lower edge of the plaque, "Ogl. Copuern R. Ulke, Munchen". (Original copy R. Ulke, Munich). It has the KPM impressed mark on verso which is revealed with a small window cut in the backing board. A large plaque executed in exquisite detail. Possibly after a painting by Franz Von Defregger (Austrian, 1835-1921).

Two small religious icons depicting St. Olga and St. Kaluzhsky. Painted porcelain mounted in gold tone metal frames with cherub embellishments in the corners. Mounted onto olive green velvet backing, and framed in a gold tone wood frame. There is a card in an envelope on verso states these came from A La Vieille Russie, New York City. Overall it measures 14" x 7-3/4" framed.

997. Hand Painted Porcelain Plaque, ca. Late 19th Century
Outlined stenciled then hand painted porcelain oval plaque depicting a scene of the Holy Family. Framed in salmon colored velvet with gold toned wood frame. Porcelain apprx 7-7/8" x 4-3/8", overall with frame approx. 15-1/2" x 13". Was adhered to wood panel with velvet mat over, but removed so the back of porcelain could be inspected. No marks found, only decorator number 48 and pencil number notation.

Signed Anderson and dated 1915, this large porcelain TV Limoges plaque depicts a Navajo woman in profile with a blanket and Navajo jewelry. Verso with TV Limoges stamp and pencil writing. The porcelain is approx. 11-1/8" x 8-3/8". Overall with tan velvet liner and gold tone wood frame, it measures approx. 15-3/4" x 12-3/4".

A glazed porcelain plaque of St. Cecelia playing an organ, with white lilies in front of her. Overall the plaque measures 7" x 5-1/2" and has an illegible inscription on verso. No other maker's markings were found. St. Cecelia is richly dressed in a beautiful gown and she is beautifully detailed in soft skin tones. Above and below her are faux wood grain brackets. Not framed.

1002. A Heraldic KPM Platter
A round KPM platter, approx. 13-7/8" in diameter in a simple white porcelain shape on a small foot with holes for hanging at the top of the foot. It is marked in blue underglaze with the KPM staff and "H" and hand lettered in iron red "Gebr. Goedecke Hannover 1892". The front has a gilt rim and a large coat of arms image intricately painted in the center with gilt and polychrome glazes.

It has a finely textured "lumpy" surface characteristic of the period and delicately enameled details.
