Manger interior with sheep and donkey. Oil on wood panel, signed in the lower right corner, framed under glass in an ornately carved gilt frame with a silk mat and gilt liner. The sight size of the painting is approx. 6-1/2" x 11", and overall with the frame it measures 19" x 25". There is an interesting array of postal cards affixed to the verso that appear to refer to the authentication of the painting in Italian, dated 1930. The panel is encircled in a narrow gilt frame used as the liner and is cradled in foamcore spacers under the mat. It was attached to the backing board with two lines of adhesive transfer tape.
