This is the true first edition published as a trade paperback in a small edition a year prior to the 1994 hardback and limited edition. A amusing bibliomystery in which the protagonist book dealer finds a gold mine of first editions and himself on death row. A very fine copy. BIBLIOMANIA. A Tale. Flaubert, Gustave. London; The Rodale Press, 1954.Tale of a book mad monk and his attempt to get the "only" (he thinks) copy of Furs e Ordinacions, printed in 1482 by Lambarto Palmart, the first Spanish printer. Based on an actual event.This copy SIGNED BY Anne Levine " Anne and Bob Levine December 1957". The Levine's owned the popular PUBLIX BOOK MART in Cleveland. SANDY MACPHERSON: BOOK COLLECTOR. Levy, Newman. Council Bluffs (IA); The Yellow Barn Press, 1998. LIMITED EDITION one of 150 copies. This edition has been set in 13 point Monotype. Poliphilus by Michael and Winifred Bixler and printed on dampened Rives paper. The book was bound at the Campbell-Logan Bindery. Neil Shaver designed and printed. 4 3/4 inches x 7 1/4 in., frontispiece printed in two colors; unpaginated; [38]pp, illustrated with lino-cuts printed in one, or two colors. Brown cloth spine and sides, with mounted, printed title label on the spine, and tan, lilac and copper marbled paper over boards. As new.

Maeght, Paris, 1969. Limited first edition, limited to 150, this being numbered 28. Last page with poem by Joan Brossa. Signed by the artist on the collophon. Twenty-six pages are a continuous design of a connecting color lithograph traversing all 26 pages. Missing the black and white and color lithographs, which would have been in the front. With paper covered slip case with attached label. Very good.
