A 19th century Indian illustration from a book, encased in plastic and framed in a double sided frame so the text on the verso can be viewed. The lovely detailed paintings from facing pages (with central vertical binding crease), depict a prince and a princess holding flowers as love tokens. Each is ornately dressed and seated in a throne in an interior. Portions of windows in each image show a distant idyllic landscape. The images have text above and below as well as on the verso. The sight size of the paper is 7-1/4" x 9-1/4", and overall with the framing the piece measures 15" x 17-1/2".

Three unframed miniature sketches from India, the first "Muhamud Ali Shah", 4" x 3-1/8" on paper mounted on 6-1/8" x 5-1/2" paper, said to be 17th century; the second "Saint, Hyderabad", said to be late 18th century, 5" x 3-3/4"; and the last "Sholapur", said to be 18th century, 5-1/8" x 3", taped at the top and the bottom to a backing board with paper tape. Each fragment is executed with great skill and attention to detail.
