| 939. A Sterling Silver Dish With The Face of a Hound
An interesting irregularly shaped sterling silver dish in deep relief with the face of a hound in the center, and with a wide loop applied to the back for holding, possibly as a tastevin. The dish measures approx. 4-1/2" x 3-1/2" and weighs approx. 1.10 toz. It is hallmarked and marked "sterling" on the back as well. The mark is that of J. E. Blake Co., 1889-1936 of Attleboro, Mass., known for silver novelty and vanity items. 50/100 Sold $235.75 back to catalog |
