A superb Mogul style carved white jade with a celadon cast vessel with lid, approx. 8-3/4"H x 3-3/8" in diameter, in a cylindrical shape set atop three feet in the shape of lions, with a curvilinear bird shape at one side for a "handle" and a cylindrical shape at the opposing side for a "spout", with a lion's head at its base with a suspended ring in its mouth and the head of a falcon at the top. There are also three other small bird shapes adorning the lid. The sides are simply carved in repeating relief designs and the surfaces are polished in a soft finish.
