| 119. Michael Aloysius Sarisky (American, Ohio, b. 1906)
Nude with Pearls. Oil on board, signed in the lower right corner, framed and with a cream velvet board applied to the verso of the frame, the sight size approx. 10" x 8", and with the frame overall approx. 14-3/4" x 12-3/4". A very under appreciated and as yet undervalued artist. Sarisky was a student of the Cleveland Institute of Art class 1928, winner of many awards and a scholarship to the Slade Art School in London. He did the ceramic panels in the Terminal Tower lobby, Cleveland Ohio. Under the direction of W.P.A, he executed a number of canvases. One of these was installed in the main auditorium of the Cleveland Public Hall. 100/200 Sold $465.75 back to catalog |
