Female nude study. Ink on paper, signed in pencil in the lower left, matted and framed under glass, the sight size 22" x 13", and with the framing overall 27-3/4" x 18-1/2". Provenance: inherited mid-20th century by the current owner from family member Richard Sedlon, also a Cleveland School artist, contemporary and friend of William Sommer.
This is a fine finished example of work that can be attributed to Sommer's early acedemic training in 1890 in Munich.
