A handsome horse in a stall. Oil on canvas, signed and dated 1851 in the lower left corner, framed in an ornate gilt frame, the canvas size 12" x 14", and overall framed 17-1/2" x 19-1/4". These horse portraits were widely popularized in the 19th century; to imortalize a prized steed.
