A trophy in the form of a tankard with a hinged lid, measuring approx. 11-1/2"H, with a rococo cartouche in relief on each side and inscriptions for the 1st prize from an 1897 tennis tournament in each. The German inscription indicates that this was for a singles match in October. (IS)
