369. A French Dore Bronze Picture Frame on Stand
A French Dore bronze picture frame, in an oval shape on two small feet and with a standing leg at the back. The frame has an inset in the front of a Kelly green moire embellished with applied ornaments. There is a laurel wreath at the top of the frame. The back is covered in a light green antique velvet and has four turn-buttons and a silk ribbon tab to access the inside. Overall it measures 7"H x 4-1/2"W.

370. An Antique China Trade Lacquer Sewing Box
An antique China trade lacquer sewing box, with an elongated octagonal form and set on four paw feet, approx. 11-1/4"W x 8-1/2"D x 5-3/4"H, with the exterior of the box covered with finely painted scenes with figures and oriental design motifs in gilt and some color. The interior is entirely lacquered in black, with a sectioned lift-out tray with carved bone or ivory fittings, two compartment lids with gilt decoration and bone or ivory carved knobs, two small lift-out compartments and a small group of carved bone or ivory implements from the original.

A spelter bust of a beautiful woman, finished in a dark brown/bronze color, mounted on a small turned wood base, measuring 7"H overall. The name G.V. Vaerenburgh is impressed into the back of her garment. She wears a head-wrap similar to those worn at the end of the 19th century, and one sleeve has slipped coyly off of her shoulder.

A charming set of bronze bookends, signed M. Penlich, Scp., made at Griffoul Foundry, Newark, N.J., in a rich brown patina, approx. 6-7/8"H. One of the bookends is in the figure of a young girl holding a bouquet and with a questioning expression and the other a cupid who appears to peek around the edge of the books at the girl.

A pair of urn-shaped dresser lamps made in enameled porcelain and gilt metal, standing approx. 15" H to the top of the socket. The porcelain parts are hand decorated with gilt and blue enamel and have a landscape scene painted on one side and romantic figures, one a man and the other a woman, on the opposite side. The pictorial parts are signed "Pasot".

A Handel standing floor lamp, approx. 57"H with a blue Aurene glass trailing leaf and vine shade, approx. 10" in diameter. The shade fits the description of one of the very rare "Tyrian" shades by Steuben, with an undecorated applied border of platinum glass, and is lined in white. (As described in "Collecting Art Nouveau Shades" by Darrah L. Roberts, 1972., p. 14)
