A Chinese scholar's desktop bud vase with a slender tapering body, narrow neck and a flared mouth. Fired in a well-controlled peachbloom glaze with predominately burnt peach hues, with splashes of moss green. The bottom portion of the vase is unglazed. A blue underglaze KangXi mark is on the recessed base. Probably missing the stand. Overall measures approx. 6"T. Color in the copper based glazes cannot be controlled or predicted, thus it is always a mystery how any piece would look like after firing.
