461. An Interesting Victorian Silver Plate Container
An interesting Victorian style silver plate container, marked on the underside by Middletown Plate Co. in a squat urn-shape supported on a base cast in the shape of four birds standing on branches. There is a lovely 3/4" band around the widest point of the urn that has a relief design of birds, insects, flowers and branches. Overall it measures 5-5/8"H x 5-1/2" in diameter at the lip.

462. A Partial Set of Fruit Flatware
A partial set of fruit flatware in silver plate with mother of pearl handles, including five 7-1/2" fruit knives with engraved blades and mother of pearl handles, and six 6" three-tine matching forks. The knives are marked made by Hukin & Heath, Birmingham & London, ca. 1880. The flatware comes in an attractive wooden case with a hinged lid, inset brass shield shape in the top, inset brass shield shaped escutcheon, and velvet and silk clad interior. There is a small celluloid label on the lip of the box from Pearce & Sons Manufacturers, Huddersfield, Leeds, Leicester.

463. Two Fancy Silver Plate Hot Water Pots
Two fancy silver plate teapots, the first in an oval form with a warmer stand, approx. 11-3/4"H x 7-1/2"W to the tip of the spout x 4-3/4"D, marked on the underside by the maker; the second a squat repousse tea kettle on three small feet approx. 8"H x 8" in diameter, marked on the underside by the maker, and with the initial "R" engraved into one hinge of the handle. Both have wood insets into the handles as insulators, and the oval teapot has an oval shaped knob on top.
