1169. A Vintage American Spirits Bottle
A 19th century American spirits bottle with an aluminum screw-on cap in the shape of a jigger, with the body of the bottle in brown cast glass with spiders in spiderwebs, wheat, one fly, and words in relief. The bottle has several remnants of printed paper embossed labels. A date on one of them is 1915. This label says that the contents are 100 proof and to be used for medicinal uses only. The label calls the whiskey "Antique", one pint, bottled at the Frankfort Distillery in Kentucky and distributed by the A. Keller Company. Another label says "Antique...Spiritus Frument...alcoholic stimulant...." A very interesting and decorative bottle.
