351. A Fabulous Pair of Francois-Raoul Larche (French, 1860-1912) Art Nouveau Bronze Vases
Purchased from renown Paris Art Nouveau dealer Nicolaas Borsje. A fabulous pair of cast bronze Art Nouveau vases, approx. 16-1/2"H x 10" in diameter at the widest point, with removable metal inserts with rings, marked on the side wit the artist's name and also "Soit Fondeur Paris". The relief images around the outside depict beautiful ladies in flowing gowns framed with images of lilies; the quintessential Art Nouveau motifs. The organic shape is surrounded near the base with a relief of meandering leaves and vines. The undersides have screwed-on plates. Purchased from renown Paris Art Nouveau dealer Nicolaas Borsje.

352. Signed Henry Dasson Gilt Bronze Bras De Lumieres, Mid-19th Century
Signed at base edge "Henry Dasson & Cie", heavy gilt bronze, four lights each with wax drip inserts. Approx. 21-3/4"T x 15"W. Henry Dasson (1825-1896) is known as one of the finest makers of gilt bronze in the nineteenth century. With a workshop established at 106 rue Vieille-du-Temple, Paris, he specialised predominantly in the production furniture using the very finest ormolu mounts with high quality mercurial gilding. In 1871, he purchased the flourishing business and remaining stock of Charles-Guillaume Winckelsen, who had established a reputation for furniture of the highest quality. Dasson inherited the craft of 'ciseleur' from Winckelsen. Dasson closed down his business in 1894, after which there was a large auction.

Carved wall mounted box with sliding panel front. Raised on small cabriole feet and with high crested top with finials. Approx. 23" x 9-3/4"W x 4-1/2"D.
This decorative and practical flour box was used for flouring fish, in which the box would be removed from the wall and set flat on a table; the panel slide off and the fish floured within the box.

359. A Portrait of a Lady in Enamel on Copper
An oval portrait of a lady in enamel on a convex copper plaque, approx., 5-3/8" x 4-3/8", framed in a rectangular brown wood frame with a formed gilt metal liner, overall 8-3/4" x 6-3/4". The lady's features are rendered as if photo-assisted. The costume she wears is of an earlier period with an Elizabethan flair, and includes impressive jewelry and fur. There is an illegible inscription incised lightly into the back of the plaque and the date 1884.

361. A Vintage Louis Vuitton Trunk
A vintage Louis Vuitton wardrobe, approx. 39"L x 22"W x 21-1/2"H, with the trademark brown and gold logo canvas covering, wooden slats with tooled leather binding on the edges with the repeating logo; thick leather carrying handles on either side with "LV" impressed into the brasses and L. Vuitton impressed in the leather (one of the handles is missing, the other is broken. Most of the nailheads also have the Vuitton name stamped. Interior lined with cream color fabric. Upper side tufted with Louis Vuitton ribbons; main compartment fitted with a removable tray, which has a removable compartment as well. There are old stickers (with losses) on the exterior "Vacation San Francisco/ Honolulu," "Lot Shipment, Washington D.C." "Piccadilly & Regent St. London W." Old tag on one handle. Interior fitted with a sticker "Asnieres S/ Siene/ Louis Vuitton/ Paris 70, Champ-Elysees/ Nice 4, Jardin Public/ Lille-34, Rue Faidhere/ London 149 New Bond." Stamped serial number "194590" in blue-black pigment.

A Pre-Colombian style ceramic figure of a seated woman, approx. 19" H, set on a laminate pedestal and incased in a clear acrylic box covering. Overall measurement is 58-1/4" x 16-1/2" x 16-1/2", at one time painted in polychrome. She has a beautiful gesture and pose, with one hand on the side of her head and one hand extended in front of her. She sits to one side of her folded legs on tilted hip, modestly covered by a wrap below the waist.
