A hand made glazed pottery vessel, in an irregular shape, partially unglazed natural color rough textured pottery with brightly colored figural designs on the inside and on the outside of the vessel depicting figures of people, squid, and other sea life in a contemporary stylized manner. No signature found. Overall it measures approx. 15" H x 22"W x 22"D. Dolores Porras, known as "the Picasso of Mexico", is known for her mermaid designs. She is one of the artists featured in the book, Oaxacan Ceramics.
