"The Gas Works". Watercolor on illustration board, signed and dated '38 in the lower right, approx. 14" x 18" sight size, matted and framed under glass overall approx. 23-3/4" x 27-3/4". The frame is a hand carved gold metal leaf with corner details. This is a very fine example of an industrial image so popular in the early to mid 20th century.
