Slant, drop front lady's writing desk, probably made in the late 19th or early 20th century, with a dark warm patina. All of the exterior surfaces are deeply hand carved with foliate and figurative motifs, and with the interior drawers also deepy carved and with heads of putti as drawer pulls. There is also a center drawer in front and two false drawers each with an animal face as a pulls. The two side pulls extend to support the drop front writing surface. Overall the desk measures approx. 34-3/4" x 21" x 35-3/4"H.
