| 856. A Circular Royal Vienna Porcelain Plaque Decorated by T. Reidl
A circular Royal Vienna porcelain plaque, approx. 20" in diameter with a slightly flaring lip, marked with the shield mark (beehive) in blue underglaze on the center of the verso and impressed mark "Schlaggenwald" at the edge verso. The central image of the plaque is a classical romantic scene with ladies in a carriage drawn by putti, surrounded by a rectangular layer of designs, and with stylized designs in the balance of the circles. The designs are enameled and have gilt over all. The picture itself is signed in the lower right corner "T. Reidl". 4,500/6,500 back to catalog |
