| 206. School of Claude Lorrain, ca. 17th Century
A pair of unsigned landscapes in pencil and brown wash on paper, heightened with white, each mounted onto another sheet of paper, and glued along the upper margin to a French mat, backing paper. The images measure approx. 9" x 14-3/4", and with the backing papers overall approx. 15" x 21". The name of Claude Lorrain is written on one of the backing papers in pen and on the backs of the artwork in pencil. The name of the 17th century Dutch artist, Willem Schellinks, is written in pencil in the lower right corner of the backing paper of one. 5,000/10,000 back to catalog |
