If you have property to sell, whether it is one item or an entire estate, we are here to guide you through the whole process. There are several major steps in
selling an item(s) at auction.
1. Evaluation.
2. Decision to sell.
3. Commission and payment.
Evaluation: We are happy to evaluate your property. Please contact us to set up an appointment.
At Our Gallery: The fastest way is to bring your items for an evaluation by one of our specialists at either our Cleveland gallery or our Pittsburgh gallery.
At Your Location: If there is more than one item and bringing in your property is not practical, we can arrange for our consignment director to conduct an
evaluation at your location, subject to prior telephone assessment.
By E-Mail or Mail: We provide initial evaluation for you by either e-mail or mail. You may e-mail us photos of your property (with additional pertinent
information such as dimensions, provenance, etc.) and we will get back to you with an auction estimate.
Invitation to Consign: Based on our evaluation, we will advise you if your property is appropriate for auction and provide you with an appropriate auction
estimate. If the estimate is agreeable, you will sign the contract and leave the property on site for photography and cataloguing. We can pick items up or
provide shipping assistance for items which are not in the vicinity of our galleries.
Commission: We have a competitive tiered commission structured to maximize your proceeds. Our low buyer's premium ensures our buyers are able to bid
more on your property, which increases you bottom line.
Payment: We pay promptly 30 business days after the auction has ended.
If Auction is Not an Option: Whatever the reason, if auction is not an option, we will, if appropriate, recommend a course of action for you and possibly broker
a private sale of your property.
